Attestations
Attestations streamline compliance for both vendors and participating sites by providing a signed acknowledgment that contractors understand and agree to required policies, access rules, job readiness standards, or necessary certifications. Whether ordered for individual contractors or companywide, Attestations create an additional layer of protection by confirming that all personnel meet site expectations before arriving onsite.
Benefits of attestations:
-
Maintaining consistent standards across the workforce.
-
Supporting audit readiness at a moment’s notice.
-
Keeping projects moving without interruption.
Why participating sites care.
-
Enhanced risk management: Requiring contractors to attest that they meet specific certifications or criteria adds another layer of protection on top of our primary certification levels. This signed acknowledgement helps prevent misrepresentation, reinforces that only qualified workers can access your site, and reduces your liability.
-
Increased efficiency: Quickly providing signed attestations during an audit helps prevent site delays, and having contractors self-certify early in the process helps screen out unqualified vendors sooner.
-
Customizability: Sites can customize and specify what contractors are attesting to based on the needs of their business and industry requirements for contractors.
Why vendors should care.
-
Prepare accordingly: Show clients that your teams meets their site requirements.
-
Access from anywhere: Our mobile-friendly portal accepts submissions from most devices, so your team can access participating sites without additional delays.
- Simplify repeated projects: Following initial attestation, contractors can be quickly reauthorize for future projects using the same requirements.

When can I not use attestation?
Contractors can attest that they have the licenses, screenings, or clearances you require, but attestation is essentially their personal guarantee and cannot replace official verifications if the role requires it by law or policy.
Certified Contractors offers alternatives if you would like to verify information with a trusted source through background screening services and endorsements from authorized institutions.
Attestations can be an extremely useful tool for documenting and confirming that contractors understand your rules and expectations, but they cannot replace required verification, legal checks, or proper employee/contractor processes.
