Endorsements
Endorsements are verified, à la carte compliance verifications that can be added to an individual contractor’s profile or for all contractors at a contracting company to meet site-specific or state-mandated access requirements. They are designed to fill compliance gaps that fall outside of standard Certified Contractors screening packages, allowing sites and contracting companies to satisfy unique licensing, registry, or regulatory requirements without changing a contractor’s certification level.
Common use cases:
-
Adult and Child Abuse Registries
-
E-Verify
-
Professional License
Disclaimer: The Certified Contractors Guidelines do not apply to Endorsements. Endorsements are provided for the purpose of site access, under written instruction from the applicant, and may not be used for employment or any other permissible purpose. Endorsements are not adjudicated by One Source, do not constitute part of the certification process, and have no effect on an Applicant’s individual certification status or an End User’s selection of certification level. Endorsements are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for, or a modification of, the requirements set forth in the Certified Contractors Guidelines.
When to use endorsements.
Contractor endorsements are a helpful added layer for site access in certain situations and can be a good solution for site or state requirements that are not addressed through certification.
This supplementary solution help sites identify that a specific background check required for their site access has been completed.
Why endorsements matter to vendors.
Endorsements don’t change certification status, but add new layers to show that your team members meet additional criteria required by specific projects or clients. They can help your organization:
-
Access more sites faster: Completing endorsements in advance helps prevent delays caused by missing access requirements.
-
Promote accountability: Display your team's commitment to compliance, professionalism, and safety.
-
Reduce liability: Documented confirmation that a requirement was met helps contractors stay in compliance with additional site requirements .
